Young Goodman Brown and The lottery

YGB: I though this story was very confusing. I couldnt tell if he was going into the woods to become part of a Satin worshiping cult or what. It just raised a lot of questions for me like how did he get home was it a dream and why didnt they write and thing on his tomb stone when he died? i dunno the only thing i really got out of it is that their society strange and i think the Faith his wife knew what was going to happen even though he didnt and maybe she even helped get  him home after the fact.
THE LOTTERY: i liked this story much better and i got the concept of it right away. This is one mess up village like i dont get the point of stoning some random person to death once a year. The only thing that i could come up with is that the village believes in Gods or something because on of the old men says "Lottery in June, corn be heavy soon" its like a human sacrifice so they have a good harvest. non the less they insane and i think they are more insane that the say other villages that take away the lottery are dumb for doings so.

The Yellow Wall Paper

I really Enjoyed reading this short story. I think that since the lady was so isolated from everything she began to go sturr crazy. she wasnt able to do anything but look and the yellow wall paper and soon thats all she ever did. I think the more john tells her she cant do something the more she becomes fixated on the wall paper because thats all she has. i think she precise herself as the women in the wall paper and knows she is trapped almost in jail she cant leave and she cant do anything. the ending is what confused me the most but over all good story.

A Tell-Tale Heart

After reading this short story I loved how the person in the story was trying to convince the reader that he wasnt crazy but the action through out the story didnt help his case at all. I think he is crazy. no normal person would want to kill some one because of their eye. He spends night after night sneaking into his room just staring at him. and the night he finally kills him he cuts the body up and places it under the floor boards no sane person would do that. ans what makes it worse it that he was using the sound of his heart beat to feed into his anger. the part in the story when i decided he was actually crazy was at the end. he invites the police in and is very cocky. he wants to see if he actually did a good job hiding the body. the only reason he showed him the body is because he lost it and kept hearing his heart beat from under the floor boards. In the end he was insane. The story its self was very good i enjoyed it a lot better then a Rose for Emily, this story is very easy to read and understand.

A Rose For Emily

I just got done reading the this short story and although it was a good story I found myself being confused at the end like did she kill Homer? Did the actually get married and then she used the poison she bought to kill him? I mean she was all alone and everyone she knew had left her so did she just keep him there so she wouldnt have to be alone? This story has a lot of detail and it helps you picture what is happening through out the story but i am not sure i liked it. Like it is well written but I dont understand the message the author is trying to get across or even if there is one.
